It seems the new face of the GOP is starting to look like the old face of Bubba. Did anyone ever truly believe that the right had a monopoly on monagamy? When you have riches and power the only other thing you want also starts with a 'P'. And I don't mean a peepee. Well for some it does, I guess; eh Mr. Foley?

That don't seem right to me

A song by one of my favorite singer/song writers, John Batdorf. It's off his new CD, Old Man Dreamin'. John of the famous 70's duo Batdorf and Rodney is still coming up with relevant, timely songs for a new generation. Ain't No Way, another song off the CD is an old fashioned protest song about the last eight years.

Old cartoon, new greeting card

This was an old cartoon from the mag which just was recently picked up by Nobleworks for a card. Everything old gets used again. Until I don't have any more old ones. The I have to do new ones. Honestly I'm too tired.

God's Paddle ball

Some days you're up and some days you're down but every day it feels like God is spanking the Earth. What can He say? He's bored!

The Pimple Life

I realize most of the planet has already seen Paris's cheeks but can you ever really see them too much? For our younger readers I ask that you just look away, that's all, just look away.

A Day Off

There wasn't a cartoon yesterday as I was taking a day off to go fishing. It was forecast as rainy part of the day and it did rain on me twice, luckily I have a rain suit that makes me impervious to rain. It was cool because after it blew through it got dead calm after each downpour and the mist on the water made it seem dreamlike. The temperature was high and it was very comfortable despite the damp. One oddity I found was a watersnake trying to soak up the warmth on a tree. Big snake! That was yesterday and now reality reasserts itself and more cartoons must be drawn. My mind is still on the water. It was a long day, 12 hours on the boat constantly casting. I am sore today but it's a good sore.

Old Dwarves Remix

Another of the Target reworked cards. I had an interesting occurrence in the card aisle on Mother's Day weekend at Target: there was a mom and daughter there looking over the cards and I just suggested they check out a couple which I said were funny (these being mine). I then told the daughter that they were my cards. They were like, "Wow, really?" They said they would buy them if I signed the cards which I did, adding a little cartoon too for good measure. They seemed delighted and I felt like a greeting card rock star, sort of. Sold three cards! Made 15 cents! I should do these signings more often. Turns out the daughter was a grad of my kid's high school and knew of them. This was in a store in the next county.
